While browsing fabric at Hobby Lobby the other day, I came across this adorable floral fabric. I loved the look of it and today I am sharing a fun and cute DIY Floral Appliqué Shirt tutorial.
Supplies:
- t-shirt
- fabric
- scissors
- pink embroidery thread
- embroidery needles
- Interfacing-Pellon
First off, I cut out the section of floral fabric that I wanted appliqué onto the shirt. You’ll also cut out a section of iron-on interfacing to fit the floral fabric.
Gently iron on the fabric to the interfacing. Next you can cut out your appliqué.
Now you’re ready to sew on your flower appliqué to the shirt. I chose a simple stitch to attach to the applique.
You can pin it in place so that it doesn’t move while you are stitching it on.
After you have stitched around all the edges you’re all done. Super cute, fun, and floral. Perfect for spring. I’m thinking I need to make a matching skirt for my little girl.
