When I first made my shutters (tutorial here), I knew I wanted to add a pop of color for Valentines Day. One day while browsing in the craft store I found the most beautiful roses. They are full, a beautiful shade of red, and are made of a velvety material which makes them look a little more real. They were the most expensive single stem roses they had but well worth it. (just hit the 50% week!)
Supplies:
- heart shaped twig wreath form
- Red roses- I found mine at Hobby Lobby
- Hot glue and glue sticks- Be prepared and have lots on hand.
- Scissors
First pop the roses off the stem but be sure to keep them attached to the bottom green bud part otherwise they will fall apart.
This is what happens if you don’t get the green stem bud part…
Next, grab you hot glue gun and start gluing them into the wood wreath base.
And that its. Super cute!
That wreath is adorable!! I want to make one, where did you get wreath though, same place as the roses??
Thanks, yep, got the wreath from Hobby Lobby as well. đŸ™‚

So beautiful. How long will it last?
These are faux (but very real looking) blooms so it lasts year after year! I made it several years ago and still have it.
