Have you ever saw something and thought…I have to have that! When I saw this bedding on overstock, I had one of those moments. Is it not gorgeous? I have also seen this go on sale on zulilly.
It really is beautiful bedding and I got the whole comforter set for around $100 which is a great deal. When it arrived, I was very pleased, even in person it is quite lovely. I knew it would be perfect for our guest bedroom. Now here is where this gets tricky…
Yeah, so all those beautiful ruffly tags are not sewn on well. About 1/5 of them have gradually come off super easy.
I had family visit recently and it seemed that when my niece barely touched them they would fall off. It got so annoying my sister gathered up the blanket and pillows and put them away in the closet because she felt so bad! After they left, I put it back on the bed and just sitting on them and getting up would pull them off. Now, I am not saying this isn’t a gorgeous set, it is, but it is so fragile and really is “for looks”. I don’t want my guests to feel uncomfortable and I am just kind of bummed about my bedding fail. I just thought I would share my home decor fail moment, it happens to everyone once in a while right?

That’s a shame – and not right at all!!!
Do you have a month to spare where you could sew them all on securely lol?
It’s really gorgeous though!
XOXO

I joked with my mom that the next time she came to stay I’d put her to work.lol

Well I would send it back or contact the company that made it. That is just not right to spend so much on something and it not hold up.

I agree, I wish I would have realized it sooner. It just sat there looking pretty until someone actually came to use it!

Oh, what a bummer. I hope you can still return it. It’s beautiful though – but it still needs to hold up to some wear and use.
Marie bloominghomestead says
Yep, for sure. And that’s the worst part is it is so beautiful! I saw they had the grey version on zulilly, lovely but such poor quality!

That is such a shame – it is gorgeous. Can you sew? Maybe you could fix it? It would be a lot of work but might be worth it.

Wait till the weather gets a little cooler and you’ll have the perfect curl up on the sofa and watch movies project! It is gorgeous…

How frustrating! The quality should have been of better standard. Perhaps you could leave a review and let future buyers beware. I know I would want to know what you went through.
Hope you can fix it somehow. It is lovely.
