Have you ever had one of those recipes that just happened? That is what came about with this Strawberry Shortcake with Marshmallow Cream Cheese Recipe. One day my sister and I were enjoying some strawberry shortcake when we decided to throw in a little of our favorite ingredients as a filling of sorts. Can I just say that it was so decadent a new recipe was born!
Delicious does not even begin to describe this! I still enjoy a lighter version of strawberry shortcake with fresh berries and whipped cream, but sometimes if you want a little something different this dessert hits the spot.

Did you use a small jar of marshmallow cream? If so do you remember how many oz. it was?

Hi Teresa, this time I used the smaller version that was 7oz, but I’ve used the larger one before too. Either works, just the more marshmallow makes it a bit sweeter. I prefer the smaller jar. 🙂
