Aren’t these DIY Patriotic Pinwheel Cupcakes just so cute? I am loving this time of year, and I especially love decorating and celebrating the 4th of July! I am so proud to be an American and I love my country. These cupcakes would be the perfect hit to any 4th of July party…or make them just because!
You’ll want to make your favorite cupcake, I chose a delicious homemade chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting! My favorite! Put them all together and then make your toppers so they’ll be ready to go. Here’s how to make an easy paper pinwheel. I made a video tutorial in case that helps explain things a little more clearly.
How to make a pinwheel:
Check out the video tutorial:
- First off take a square piece of paper. (Double sided paper is so the cutest I think)
- Next cut in each corner leaving a small circle uncut in the center to hold the paper together.
- Fold the top left of each corner down into center and place a brad through each section.
- And there you have a pinwheel! Tape or glue these on sucker sticks for the perfect cupcake topper.
These are so perfect and easy, let me know if you give them a try!
