Today I’m sharing this fun Black and White Canvas Tutorial. When I was planning my halloween decor this year I knew I wanted to make a fun, vibrant, canvas print to hang on my mantle. Geometric prints are so fun and usually I am way to chicken to use them in my everyday home decor.
I love how it turned out and it was so easy to make. I love simple projects that make a big impact.
Want to make one of your own? Here’s the supplies you’ll need:
- Canvas
- Painters Tape
- black & white acrylic craft paint
Start taping off your pattern on the canvas. If you use a diamond pattern such as mine above, when you tape the corners just overlap the tap and trim off with scissors to make a straight seam. Firmly press down the tape, and you’ll be ready to start painting. A tip for crisp lines: Use white tape as a base and to seal down the tape. After the white paint dries, paint over the area with black paint. While the paint is still wet, remove the tape. Let your canvas dry completely and that’s it!
I’m loving how fun and vibrant it is. It’s quite the change from my normal neutral decor.
