Can I just say that I am loving all the holiday inspiration I’m seeing around blogland. So many talented folks and I love looking for easy diy gift ideas. I’ve got a fun little gift idea for your today. These DIY Wood Coasters are the perfect, easy diy gift and today I am going to show you how to make them! Sometimes simple projects turn out to be the best, I love how these turned out.
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
- 1 common board (I cut my board into 3.5″x3.5″ pieces)
- wood stain
- poly
- sandpaper
- saw
- measuring tape
- brush
First start by measuring off your wood and preparing for your cuts.
I cut out 5 coasters.
Sand them down and smooth out the edges to prepare for staining.
Wipe off excess dust from the sandpaper and stain away. After the stain has cured you can seal your coasters with poly.
And there you have it, a super cute, affordable, and functional gift idea.
Have you made any homemade gifts lately? Where do you find inspiration?
Here are a few of my favorite wood projects:
