Today I’m sharing how to make this simple and beautiful up-cycled DIY Spring Centerpiece. The perfect addition to any spring tablescape! It’s always fun when you are able to repurpose items to have new uses like these new unique Diet Coke “It’s Mine” bottles.
Supplies Needed:
- Diet Coke “It’s Mine” bottles
- 1″x4″x10″ common board (cut into the following lengths)
- 3 – cut to 13″ lengths for sides and bottom, 2 pieces cut 4.25″ length approx for edges. (will need to measure your specific board to have exact dimension.
- nails
- hammer
- walnut stain & cloth
- flowers
Step 1: First off you’ll want to gather your supplies. This project was inspired by these beautiful Diet Coke It’s Mine Bottles I found at my local Smith’s. I was doing my weekly grocery shopping and came across this endcap by the freezer section full of these colorful bottles. They totally caught my eye!
I love how beautiful and unique they are and knew I had to buy them especially since they are only available for a limited time. Aren’t they just perfect for this centerpiece? When you are done drinking them, you simply rinse them out and are good to go.
Step 2: Next you’ll start cutting the wood. A handy tip, save yourself the hassle and take your measurements with you to the hardware store and have them cut your wood for you! When you have your pieces cut you’ll start assembling them with nails.
Step 3: Nail together the sides to the bottom pieces. (the 13″ length pieces)
Step 4: Nail on the end pieces.
Step 5: Stain your wood and let it cure.
Step 6: Add in your rinsed Diet Coke It’s Mine bottles and fill with water and pretty floral stems.
That’s it! So cute and simple! I love that these Diet Coke It’s Mine bottles can be used for more than just a beverage, they can be up-cycled into something useful for everyday life! Go here to learn more about Diet Coke’s new launch.
